Last night, Israel’s defense forces, working hand in glove with the United States and its allies, thwarted the most significant state-led attack on the country in over 30 years. Iran’s brazen, escalatory attack, which came just hours after Hamas rejected yet another ceasefire offer, is a powerful reminder of the extremely challenging regional security threat the Jewish state faces. We are grateful to President Biden for his ongoing support and partnership with Israel to defend against the Iranian threat, and urge Congress to act expeditiously to pass a security supplemental to reinforce Israel’s defensive capabilities.
