Jewish Federation helps make the places where Jews and our neighbors gather safer and more secure. Federation's Security Initiatives and the Security Task Force facilitate, administer, and provide access to programs from training and assessments to a comunications network for leaders. In addition, Federation has helped bring millions of dollars in security grants to many Jewish organizations.

Every day, Federation supports the Jewish community in assessing and addressing security needs; often working behind the scenes with law enforcement and interfaith allies on incident reporting, investigation, and prevention; advocating with lawmakers and empowering organizations to optimize public resources; and more.
Helping Jewish organizations:
Conduct security assessments
Build relationships with local law enforcement
Navigate the landscape of obtaining and implementing security grants
Facilitate reporting and investigation of incidents
Facilitate access to security training for nearly 300 heart of NJ communal leaders and countless community members annually
Develop and launch the community-wide emergency alert system for communal leaders
Advocate with state and Federal elected leaders to provide for Jewish communal security, including allocating resources and funding for security grants, services, and more
Conduct community briefings on evolving antisemitic threats
Increase awareness of and access to incident reporting channels
Partner with law enforcement to recognize and handle antisemitic incidents
Cyber, Facility, and Personal Security During COVID Pandemic
Jewish Federation's Security Task Force, working with law enforcement and other partners, shares guidelines for individuals, businesses, and organizations to protect against frauds, scams and crime.
