Coronavirus Updates & Resources

Jewish life is best lived together, and that is still true while we practice social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Jewish Federation offers this online portal to Jewish life and resources to help Jewish Monmouth and Greater Middlesex counties stay informed, connected, and supported at this challenging time.

We are in this together.

Volunteer to Lend a Helping Hand

During the COVID Pandemic... are you able to lend a hand shopping for and delivering groceries or medical needs -- or perhaps making a friendly call to someone who's alone?
USE ONE OF THE FORMS BELOW TO LET US KNOW. WE'D LIKE TO MATCH THOSE WHO NEED HELP WITH THOSE WHO CAN HELP.

Helping Adults 60+, the Elderly and Homebound Seniors

Our Jewish community is partnering with an independent, non-profit organization called Umbrella to match vulnerable seniors with volunteers.

Helping People of All Ages Who are Immunocompromised

Jewish Federation is connecting with oncologists, cardiologists and other physicians -- and non-infectious patients -- to match volunteers with people of all ages who cannot go into stores to shop for themselves.

Community COVID Relief

People across Monmouth and Greater Middlesex Counties are uniting to help our most vulnerable community members who are hardest hit by the Coronavirus - COVID-19 pandemic. 100% of donations to Community COVID Relief go directly to help the elderly who cannot care for themselves, parents who can't put food on their tables, people in mental health crisis, medical first-responders, and the non-profit institutions they turn to for aid.

Virtual Synagogue & Shabbat Connections

While we practice social distancing to stem the spread of Coronavirus, many of our local synagogues have created ways to connect virtually for Shabbat and other rituals, as well as Jewish learning and certain meetings online.

Virtual Jewish Heritage Travel

The COVID-19 pandemic can't squelch our love of exploring Jewish heritage destinations around the globe. This Virtual Travel Series, May 24 to June 28, takes us from Israel to Poland to Morocco, accompanied by veteran guides using Google Street View with music, text, and pictures. All from the comfort of your own computer, smart phone, or tablet.

Sunday, May 24, the series kicks off in honor of Jerusalem Day with an exciting virtual experience in the Old City of Jerusalem including the Mount of Olives, Temple Mount, and a very special stop at the Western Wall.

Sunday, June 14, explore 1,000 years of Jewish life and culture in Poland from the the gravestones of great Chassidic rebbes, Yiddish theater actors, and secular Hebrew writers to remains of the Warsaw Ghetto wall and the Ghetto Heroes Trail, to the still active Nozyk synagogue.

Sunday, June 28, tour the Mellah of Fes, the oldest Jewish Quarter in Morocco with its beautiful architecture; see the Slat al Fassayine Synagogue, the oldest in the city, the 17th-century Ibn Danan Synagogue, the famous Jewish cemetery, Beit HaChaim, and more!
